      Nathaniel Oldham

      This Indenture made and entered into this 13th day of October in the year 1802. Between Henry Asbury, Thomas Hutt, William Porter the younger and John Bailey Brown Commissioners acting under a decree of the County Court of Westmoreland of the one part and Nathaniel Oldham of the County aforesaid of the other part. Witnessed that whereas the said County Court of Westmoreland at their session in the month of July and September 1802 did decree and order that the land in the said County which heretofore was the Estate of Benjamin Middleton should be sold by the aforesaid Commissioner on a Credit of Twelve months to the highest bidder and whereas on this day a part of the same was sold unto him the said Nathaniel Oldham as the highest bidder after due and legal notice of the time and place of the sale, now this Indenture further witnessed that they the said Henry, Thomas, William and John Bailey Commissioners as aforesaid for and in the consideration of the sum of one hundred and ten pounds, and eight shillings current money secured to be and according to the terms of the aforesaid decree by him the said Nathaniel Oldham before they the said, Henry, Thomas, William and John Bailey in Execution to the power ?.by the decree aforesaid have bargained and sold and this do bargain and unto the said Nathaniel and his heirs and assign all that tract of land bounded the land of him the said Nathaniel of that land now in the occupation (possession) of Thomas Plummer and others and containing ninety six acres by the same more or less to ?with all the way ways waters water courses, tenements, and herditriments thereto belonging have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and the appurtenances unto him the said Nathaniel Oldham and his heirs and assignees forever in witness whereof the said Henry Asbury, Thomas Hutt, William Porter the younger and John Bailey Brown Commissioners as aforesaid hereunto set their hands and affix their seals the date and year first above mentioned.
